Angekommen

Meine Monkey-Socks sind gelandet im kalten Canada! Penny hat sich über die Socken gefreut und es sieht aus, dass sie ihr auch gut passen.
Geht doch mal schauen!

01-2008

So, die ersten Socken im 2008 sind von den Nadeln! Gestern Abend wurden sie fertig, die Fäden sind vernäht und jetzt drehten sie auch schon die Runde in der WaMa!

Somit können sie bald verschickt werden! Ich hoffe, dass die Swap-Partnerin sich darüber freut und ich Ihren Geschmack getroffen habe.



Finally the first pair of socks in 2008 is finished. Yesterday evening I finished them, waved in the ends and this morning they had already a wash in the mashine!

I hope that the recipent will like them and that the colours suit her.

So viel schönes

Ich hab mit der lieben Phyllis mal wieder einen privaten Swap veranstaltet und sie hat mich reich beschenkt. Wunderschöne Wolle:



Viele Schleckereien:



Schaut Euch mal dieses Döschen an. Darin sind Peppermints, da ich die ja so liebe. Die Dose ist ganz klein, aber wunderschön.



Unglaubliche Nadeln und genau die, hab ich mir schon lange gewünscht, resp. immer wieder auf E**Y geschaut ob sie mal zum Verkauf anstehen:

I had a private swap with Phyllis and look all this lovely goodies she sent me. The most wonderful yarn and this is really special to me as they are not to find here. A lot of candies - have you seen the gosty-marsh-Mallows??

But the best are the needles. I have seen them months ago on the web and I was always checking on E**y if someone sells them. And now, I get them from her!! Thank you soooo much, you really spoiled me!!

And a special treasure is the lovely little mint-box!

Endlich

Endlich ist mein Monkey-Päckchen angekommen und Kary scheint sich drüber gefreut zu haben. Das Aeffchen wurde adoptiert von Ihrer Tochter und ich freu mich, dass ich einen schlechten Tag retten konnte!

Finally my monkey-package arrived and it looks as Kary liked the contents! The pnik-faced monkey has been adopted by her daughter and I could light up a "shitty" day (her words) - what do you ask for more?

Monkey gelandet

Ich habe heute mein Monkey-Swap-Päckchen erhalten. Hier könnt ihr sehen, was drin war.



Natürlich ein Paar Monkey Socks (aus Trekkingwolle) und Lorna's Laces Wolle und ein Sockenmuster, sowie ein Projekttäschchen, welches Evelyn genäht hat, in Monkey-Design. Genau richtig in der Grösse um Wolle und Nadeln für ein Sockenprojekt mitzunehmen.



Ein Monkey-Photoalbum, welches wirklich süss ist!



Und einen kleinen Affen, der sich auf der Reise wohl die Halswirbel etwas verdreht hat. Zurzeit schaut er strikt zur Decke, aber ich hoffe, dass legt sich wieder.

Monkey's sind unterwegs

So, mein Päckchen ist heute morgen bei der Post aufgegeben worden! Wollt' Ihr mal reinschauen?



Der Affe hat es mir besonders angetan, obwohl ich nicht soo der Affenfan bin, aber diesen find ich süss:



Natürlich gab es auch Affenfutter auf die Reise ;-)):



Nun heisst es warten bis das Päckchen gut angekommen ist!

Monkey Sock Swap III

Ich wurde gebeten, diesen Eintrag nochmals zu bringen, da anscheinend Verwirrung herrscht, was ich denn nun für Präferenzen habe. Nun, ich bin ja folgsam und mache dies natürlich auch.

Ich hab mich für den Sock Monkey Swap angemeldet, denn obwohl ich die Monkey wunderschön finde, hab ich noch keine gestrickt und ich fand, dass wäre doch ein guter Grund.

The basics:
Do you consider yourself a beginning sock knitter, an intermediate, or have you been doing this so long you could probably knit a pair in your sleep?    

I consider myself as an intermediate, but I have knitted over 120 pair of socks in the last years, so I also could knit them in my sleep

The measurements:

Shoe Size:   42 European / 10-10.5 US Woman
Foot circumference:     22cm / 8.66 “

Foot length: 27 cm / 10.62”

 
Yarn Preferences:  
What colors do you love?   Red, pink, orange, blue, green, turquoise, rose, 

Do you prefer solids or variegated? It’s up to you; I like both
 

Do you prefer wool, cotton or acrylic yarn?  Wool – no cotton, max. of 25% poly.

What colors would you never wear?  Jungle brown with dirty beige, but I like choclate brown with light blue.

What are your favorite brands of yarn? Lorna’s; Socks that Rock; Cherrytree Hill etc.

Are there any new brands you would like to try? I always like to try new brands we can’t get here

Will your knitting be exposed to smoke or animals? I have cats, but I try to avoid the contact between my knitting and the animals. The socks are always stored in Ziplock-bags and I always wash them before shipping

Are you on Ravelry yet?  If you don’t mind having new friends, what is your Ravelry name?

Not yet – I still have to wait, but I registered some week ago

Sockapalooza - die Letzte

Ich hab heute mein Päckchen im Briefkasten gefunden - Pünktlich ist es angekommen. Die Socken sind aus 100% Merino-Superwash und selbstgefärbt! Ich find sie genial schön.



Wunderschöne Socken, Zimt-Apfel-Tee und 2 verschiedene Mintbonbons! Ich liebe Mintbonbons! Und natürlich das Beweisfoto, dass die Socken passen

I got your wonderful package today, just perfect on time. I love the candies and how did you know, that I really love the myntz??? The tea sounds wonderful (haven't tryed it yet) and the socks are just perfect. They suit my feet just great and I love the blues you died them and I love the pattern - just everything.

Versandt

Heute hab ich das Päckchen für meinen Sockapalooza-pal abgeschickt, ich hoffe, dass es bald ganz dort ankommt.

Leider komme ich nicht in die Datenbank und kann somit nicht eingeben, dass es versandt wurde. Jetzt heisst es warten, bis

a) mein Päckchen ankommt und sie sich meldet
b) von irgendwo aus der Welt meine Socken bei mir eintreffen.

Today I shipped the socks for my sockapalooza-pal and I really hope, that they'll be fast with her.

Unfortunatly I can't open the database and so I can't add, that the socks are shipped. Now I have to wait, that

a) my socks arrive and my pal likes them
b) from somewhere on this earth a pair of socks arrive in my postbox
